NCCE in collaboration with the Gambia Federation Of The Disabled (GFD) and with funding from UNICEF Gambia today (26th November) begins in Essau, NBR a Regional Stakeholder Sensitisation on the Persons with Disabilities Act 2021.
The activity seeks to raise awareness of important stakeholders such as regional and traditional authorities, security services, persons with disabilities, youth, children and women groups on the content and principles of the Person with Disability Act and to advocate for the inclusion of persons with disabilities particularly women and children in all spheres of life by putting in place proper mechanisms to foster the implementation of this new law.
The activity will be implemented from the 26th November – 7th December 2022 in all the Seven (7) Administrative Regions of the Gambia.
